Congregation Ahavas Israel is a warm, welcoming kehillah that services the spiritual needs of the Passaic-Clifton Jewish community. With over 20 minyanim daily, fabulous shiurim geared towards various levels of learning, and our beautiful simcha hall which plays host to such occassions as brisim, bar mitzvah and vort’s, rarely does one’s day go by in Passaic without a trip to “the Ahavas.”

Despite the large quantity of minyanim, we nevertheless do not let that detract from the quality of our tefillos, placing a strong emphasis on conducting a quiet yet powerful davening. We daven Nusach Ashkenaz. No matter your background, everyone is welcomed into the Ahavas. Be it FFB, BT or Ger, modern orthodox or yeshivish, we believe in the idea of “Acheinu Kol Beis Yisroel.”

However, we are more than just your typical “minyan factory.” Events such as yom tov luncheon’s, pre-Pesach meals, monthly Nshei events and much more are just some of the ways Ahavas has cemented itself as a true family-oriented kehillah. Join us for a ruach-filled Friday night Tisch in the winter, or a Shabbos Shalosh Seudos treat in the summer, and we’re sure you’ll be convinced that Ahavas Israel is the kehillah for you.
