Jewish Orthodox Synagogue in the heart of New Orleans

Anshe Sfard is a small but dynamic Orthodox synagogue in the heart of New Orleans.  Every Shabbat and festival, our members are delighted to welcome visitors from near and far.  Recently, our historic building–which is a short walk from the French Quarter/Downtown and from Tulane University’s Uptown campus, has been designated a National Historic Landmark.  We are a vibrant community committed to worship, learning, and the well-being of our neighborhood and the State of Israel.

MINYAN IN NEW ORLEANS

Anshe Sfard holds services on Shabbat and holiday mornings. We Daven Nusach Sfard, and we begin at 9:30 AM. We do not have Minyans on Friday night, or during the week.

On weekday mornings, there is a Minyan at the Chabad of New Orleans (7037 Freret St.), which is approximately 3 miles from Anshe Sfard. The Minyan begins at 7 AM (8 AM on Sundays). There is a Minyan for Mincha And Mariv at the Chabad in Metairie (4141 W. Esplanade Ave.)
