Join us for Shabbat!

Experience Shabbat like you never have before at Aish DC with our song and dance filled services, exciting classes, youth programming, and delicious food!

We have got something for everyone:

Classes:

Every Shabbat morning we offer an array of dynamic classes that focus on the Torah portion, understanding Prayer, self-development and more. Classes are geared to audiences of all Jewish backgrounds, regardless of previous Synagogue experiences.

Classes begin at 10:15 am.

Services:

Our weekly Friday night and Shabbat Morning services add an energy and ruach (spirit) to the traditional prayers that cannot be found anywhere else. We sing, we dance, we explain, and we make sure everyone is “on the same page”. Come with an open heart and you are sure to be inspired.

Community:

We are a vibrant, fun, and growing community of families of all Jewish backgrounds committed to growing together spiritually and celebrating the joy of Jewish living in an easy-going, open-minded atmosphere.

We are a community that loves to celebrate; whether it’s for Shabbat, the Holidays, a Wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a birthday, or just for the heck of it! We are a community that genuinely cares about one another. We laugh and cry together. And we make sure that every Jew feels at home.

We invite you to come join us for the celebration!

Children’s Programming

Aish DC is all about the family. And when the children are smiling, everyone is smiling! Our Shabbat children’s program is led by Devorah Buxbaum who makes sure the kids are singing, dancing, learning and laughing. She teaches them about prayer and about the Torah portion.

Supervised play begins at 9:30 am. The program begins at 10:30.

We also offer a unique program for boys over age 7 to learn the Torah with Rabbi Stephen Baars at 10:30 am.

Kiddush:

Our Shabbat morning program is topped off with a delicious Kiddush with Salads, Cakes, a hot cholent, and plenty of L’chaims. So don’t worry about leaving hungry. Kiddush is available to be sponsored every week in honor of your personal celebration, in memory of a loved one, or just to let us know that you appreciate what we are doing!
