Congregation Adat Yeshurun is a vibrant Jewish community in the heart of La Jolla (“The Jewel”), California where we are blessed with beautiful weather year-round. Our membership is diverse, coming from many different countries and backgrounds, blending together to create a welcoming atmosphere of caring and spiritual growth. Not all of our members come from an Orthodox background, but we all come to Adat Yeshurun to grow spiritually and intellectually, and to increase our understanding of Judaism and what it means to be an observant Jew. Join us for classes or services and experience it yourself!
Visitor Information
San Diego has, for decades, been a destination for vacations. La Jolla, “the jewel” of San Diego, is an incredible place to spend some time. To help your stay here be more meaningful and enjoyable, we will share some information and tips that will enhance your visit.
Our shul is filled with people who are growing and strengthening their Judaism. Every guest to our community plays an important role as an example and as a new found friend for our congregation. We value the presence of our guests and so incredibly enjoy, especially on Shabbat, the opportunity to meet you and to get to know you. We also appreciate your respectful participation in our services.
We are a small community and wish that we could accommodate and provide hospitality to each and every guest who comes for a Shabbat. However, because of our size, it is impossible to meet this need, especially during vacation season. Due to this limitation, we focus on the business traveler, for whom we do our very best to find housing and Shabbat hospitality.
For vacationers, we do our best to accommodate your family’s needs and will provide as much information as possible, to make it easy for you to have a beautiful Shabbat with our family. Sleeping accommodations are most challenging, and in response we have created a list of hotels that are within the eruv, and few others that are within a 1.5 to 3 mile walk.
