The Young Israel of Lawrence-Cedarhurst was formed in 1963 under the leadership of Rabbi Nuchim Kornmehl zt”l, and is located on the corner of Spruce Street and Broadway, Cedarhurst, in the Five Towns area of Long Island, New York.
Under the leadership of our morah d’atra, Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, the Young Israel is the mainstay of Orthodox Judaism in the Lawrence-Cedarhurst area. We offer multiple daily minyanim, a full complement of youth and adult activities, multiple classes and many learning opportunities for men and women, as well as opportunities for active involvement in many other aspects of our community.
