In 1985, Susan Goldstein opened Dessert Delights to provide the Houston community with delicious and unique desserts. Known by her loyal customers, long-time friends and family as Suzie, she recognized a need for quality kosher dining and catering in the Houston area. In 2005, she opened Suzie’s Mediterranean Grill, which continues to serve the Jewish community in Southwest Houston. Its success is due to her deep-rooted culinary traditions from Susan’s Persian upbringing. She always focuses on quality, service, and sharing the exotic flavors she loved from her childhood.

Family tradition now continues as Suzie’s son, Jason Goldstein, proudly introduces his new restaurant Genesis Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Genesis represents years of planning and hard work to bring his vision to realization.

Genesis is a groundbreaking achievement. This labor of love and creativity is the first kosher steakhouse, not just in Houston, but also in the entire Southwestern United States. Genesis brings unmatched glatt kosher dining and world class service to the Houston community and its many visitors. We promise to continually offer quality food rooted in age old kosher values, which demand the highest selection standards. We also proudly abide by the ethical and cleanliness standards established and monitored by the Houston Kashruth Association (HKA) and Mehadrin Kashrus of Texas (MKT).

Genesis deepens the roots of family-inspired dining with updated gourmet interpretations offered in an elegant and welcoming environment. Genesis is sure to provide memories for any occasion with your choice of specialty selections from our classic bar to appetizers, soups, salads, entrée dishes and desserts served to perfection in the warm surroundings of our “Tree of Life” Dining Room.

Guests may reserve our modern wine room for up to 40 guests, a perfect setting for engagement parties, graduations, luncheons, and business functions. Our fabulous Grand Banquet Room, our flagship multi-media meeting and dining room, is also available for reservations of up to 80 guests for every occasion.
