In 2006, a group of Wesley Hills families with a big dream got together and formed a small Kehilla. The Shul was established in the basement of one of the families and the search began for a dynamic Rav who would lead the Kehilla and engender growth in Torah, Avodah and Chessed.
Less than a year later, HaRav Yosef Viener, Shlitah became Mara D’Asrah. The Shul grew exponentially, making the dreams a reality. It wasn’t very long before the Kehillah built a new Makom Torah U’Tefilla, atop the hill of East Willow Tree in Wesley Hills.
Today, Kehillas Sha’ar HaShamayim serves over 100 local families with multiple daily Minyanim, Shiurim and learning programs which attract many more from the outlying Monsey neighborhoods and countless others who tune in to the many in progress and recorded Shiurim.
