Congregation Brothers of Joseph is a Modern Orthodox congregation and synagogue located in Norwich, Connecticut. We are a warm and friendly congregation with a relaxed atmosphere. Our minyanim, and the Shul itself, reflect a community of Jews with a diverse background. We are very much an inclusive congregation whose members come from a broad background of religious styles and approaches. Our shul stresses a unified commitment to Torah Judaism. We believe in a participatory approach to Judaism while maintaining the standards of halachah expected in a Modern Orthodox congregation.
Congregation Brothers of Joseph is a growing Orthodox shul that serves a community of Jews representing all ages, backgrounds and levels of observance. We have a wonderful blend of members, with all ages represented. Our shul represents a vast array of Jews in the broad spectrum of American Jewry. We offer:
- The long-established mikvah in Southeastern Connecticut
- Regular Shabbos and holiday minyanim (with tasty kiddushes served)
- Weekday morning minyanim on Sunday, Monday and Thursday
- Morning minyanim on Chol Hamoed, Rosh Chodesh and Fast Days
- Other minyanim by request
- No reserved seating
