Congregation Beis Menachem, a core part of the Eastside Torah Center, a project of Chabad of Bellevue is a Chabad-style synagogue, one of the 3,000 Chabad centers worldwide. Founded in 1994, Congregation Beis Menachem is a center for congregants of all ages and interests, and we welcome Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations regradless of their religiosity.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a warm, inviting environment for all age groups that encourages and supports full religious, educational, and social participation of Jews from diverse backgrounds. Congregation Beis Menachem strives to promote a sense of connection among participants and to the greater Jewish community.
Congregation Beis Menachem is committed to enhancing the Jewish life and spirit of all our community members. As a Beit Midrash (House of Study), a Beit Knesset (gathering Place), and a Beit Tefillah (House of Prayer), we work hard to meet the many and varied needs of our diverse community.
As a community, we pride ourselves on our warmth, our commitment to education, our ability to support one another in times of need, and our love for joyous celebration. For almost 300 years now Chabad-Lubavitch has worked to establish, re-establish and strengthen world Jewry. As the Eastside Jewish community grows we will continue to focus on the future of our community and facilitate and serve their needs.
Our Rabbi, Mordechai Farkash
Born in Jerusalem, Israel to the world renowned scholar and Author, Rabbi and Prodigy Yekutiel Farkash and his wife Rachel, daughter of the world renowned leader and revolutionary Amram Blau of Jerusalem, Israel.
Studied in Toras Emes primary school Jerusalem before traveling to Montreal, Canada where he received his High School Diploma in Judaic Studies at Yeshivas Tomchei Temim Lubavitch. From there he moved on to receive his college degree in Judaic studies in Oholei Torah Institute -Brooklyn, NY.
