Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills, 90 miles from New York City, stands a historic synagogue that has served the needs of Ellenville and the Catskill community for almost a century.
Throughout the year, Jews from around the country stop at Ezrath Israel to join our minyonim and marvel that a Jewish community has thrived in a small town for so many years. The entire area is growing, new businesses and housing are cropping up all over. Ellenville is becoming a popular summer and all year round community. Housing is available at affordable prices.
And in the middle of it all stands Congregation Ezrath Israel, with its hebrew school, mikvah, daily minyan, adult education, catering hall, etc., taking care of the needs of its congregation and the Jewish community now and well into the future.

Ellenville Kollel
With the help of the Almighty the Ellenville Kollel has started. Congregation Ezrath Israel can not boast not only of it’s Daf Yomi program but it’s brand new afternoon Kollel launched in November 2005.
We believe that the primacy of Torah study, which the Kollel represents, will help purpetuate of shul well into it’s second century.
