The Hebrew Orthodox Congregation has a proud history in South Bend going back to 1887. For five generations, Jewish families in our community have benefited from the programs and services of the shul. Young and old alike come together at Hebrew Orthodox to study and practice our tresured Jewish traditions, and to build lasting social relationships.
The shul offers a daily morning and evening minyan, daf yomi, an active sisterhood, adult education lectures, holiday programs, chessed committee, mikva, chevra kadisha, classes in tanach and talmud, Shabbos youth groups, and a summer day camp, as well as kashruth supervision of a local bakery. These programs, as well as others, enrich Jewish life in the greater South Bend community.
