Tannersville, New York Orthodox Jewish Community

Tannersville, New York was original a tanning town. Tannersville’s tanning business collapsed in the mid-19th century. It was gradually replaced by the summer resort trade, which reached its peak in 1882 when the railroad came to Tannersville.
