This post will discuss how to do a Frum, Jewish Kosher vacation in Vermont.

Vermont does not have a large established Jewish Orthodox community all year long. So don’t expect to be able to find multiple placed to catch a Minyan to go Daven three times a day. There is a small Orthodox Jewish community in Burlington, VT all year and they even have their own “Chabad of Vermont” and Rabbi Rabbi Y. Raskin gives kosher supervision to some local establishments under the name of Vaad of Vermont. But the community is not very large.

However, the summer months brings hundreds of Heimish, Frum and Orthodox Jewish families to Vermont for vacation. There are also plenty of Yeshiva Bucherim during the August / Av Bein Hazmanim.

For the past few years, there were two well established Jewish vacation operators in the green mountains of Vermont. Both rent out villas, apartments and condos in Killington, a town in Rutland County, Vermont. Killington is a small town with the year round population of only 811 at the 2010 census. Killington Ski Resort and numerous vacation lodges are located here.

Both of these Jewish and Kosher vacation package operators offer kosher food options on top of the accommodations. You can order food daily or only Shabbat packages. Our family took along food for the entire week. We did very little cooking. We had lots of cold cuts, franks, and the likes.

The two kosher vacation operators are listed below:

Vermont Bein Hazmanim Getaway

Operated by a Frum family based all year in Lakewood, NJ. They are the first and originator of Frum vacations in Vermont. Our family stayed with their program and were very happy. They provide a Shul with a few Minyanim every day. I highly recommend them. They are very upfront with all charges, what is expected, what might create damage in your apartment and cost you extra, etc. Very honest and knowledgeable. They have lots of experience gained in all the years creating this Frum, Jewish vacation package in Vermont. You can check out their program by visiting:

The other Jewish and Kosher Vermont vacation operator is:

Vermont Menucha

This is run by a family based all year long in Monsey, New York. They have a very similar program but operate two locations.

You can check out their program by visiting their website:

I stayed with Vermont Menucha this past summer and it was literally my best summer. The hosts are so caring and accommodating-very special people. There were complimentary extra perks . The food was delicious and the Shabbos package (advertised as a Shabbos for two people) was more than enough for a couple. It's an award winning heimish vacation. Hope to return again.
